NASBLA-103-2015: Basic Boating Knowledge - Power

The National Boating Education Standards Panel is pleased to announce the availability of the revised standard: NASBLA-103-2015: Basic Boating Knowledge - Power. The standard, a revision of the 2012 standard now in use across the U.S., is posted for download on the EZ-ESP website. The standard will be submitted to the American National Standards Institute for public review and comment in the near future. Pending the outcome of that review, the recommended implementation date for the revised standard is January 2015 for course development or revision.

Additional information regarding the standard will be posted soon on www.nasbla.org and other websites. Questions should be directed to ESP staff at esp@nasbla.org.
May and June 2014 ESP Meeting Minutes

The approved minutes of the National Boating Education Standards Panel from its May 13 and June 16, 2014 teleconference meetings are now available in the zip file on EZ-ESP. These minutes include PANEL DISPOSITION OF PUBLIC REVIEW COMMENTS for P-1-20XX Basic Boating Knowledge (now re-titled "NASBLA-103-2015 Basic Boating Knowledge - Power") and H-1-20XX Basic Human-Propelled Boating Knowledge (now re-titled "NASBLA-101-20XX Basic Boating Knowledge - Human-Propelled, Paddlesports, Etc.").

Minutes of the National Boating Education Standards Panel from its February 11, 2014 teleconference meeting are now posted. These minutes, approved by the full Panel on March 11, 2014, include Appendices A-C as referenced in the minutes. PLEASE NOTE: NO PANEL DISPOSITION OF COMMENTS were addressed during this meeting.

All meetings of the National Boating Education Standards Panel are open to the public. The next meeting will be held in-person on April 11-12, 2014 at the Renaissance Nashville Hotel, 611 Commerce St., Nashville, TN. A copy of the meeting agenda is posted in the panel zip drive.
