Draft Sailing Standard Open for Public Review

The draft standard entitled 'BSR/NASBLA 102-201X: Basic Boating Knowledge - Sailing' is now posted for public review for 45-days. The draft is open for public comment to revisions authorized by the Education Standards Panel based on public review input from the previously posted draft.

THREE DRAFT Standards Posted for Public Review and Comment

Three Panel draft standards are now open for public input. Posted are 'BSR/NASBLA 100.1-201X: Supplement - Basic Boating Knowledge - Trailering'; 'BSR/NASBLA 102-201X: Basic Boating Knowledge - Sailing'; and BSR/NASBLA 101-201X: Basic Boating Knowledge - Human-Propelled. Each is re-posted for a minimum of 45-days to review revisions to the previously posted draft only. See the TRACKED CHANGES documents to review revisions authorized by the Education Standards Panel based on public review input from the previously posted drafts.

Two Standard Drafts Posted for Public Comment

Two Panel draft standards are now open for public input. The first standard entitled 'BSR/NASBLA 101-201X: Basic Boating Knowledge - Human-Propelled' is reposted for 45-days to review revisions only. The second, 'BSR/NASBLA 103.1-201X: Supplement - Basic Boating Knowledge - Water Jet Propelled' is a new proposed standard supplement opened for a 90-day comment period. Comments are solicited for any section of this new draft standard.

ANSI/NASBLA 103-2016: Basic Boating Knowledge - Power Recognized as ANS

The American National Standards Institute (ANSI) has recognized Basic Boating Knowledge - Power as an American National Standard (ANS). A copy of the standard is posted in the zip-file feature of the EZ-ESP website and available online (free download) at http://www.nasbla.org/Files/Education/ANSI_NASBLA-103-2016%20Basic%20Boating%20Knowledge%20-%20Power_Final_approved_2015_11_18.pdf

The goal of this site is to make participation in the national boating education standards writing process as quick and painless as possible. This site will give you the ability to choose areas of interest and effortlessly become aware of what is happening in your chosen sectors.

Users must register to use this feature. The menu bar to the left contains a "Register" link. Click and follow the instructions. If you are previously registered through the National Association of State Boating Law Administrators (NASBLA) website, use your current NASBLA login and password after you have clicked "Login" to the left.
